This particular series has been used to assist new believers in their Christian walk and is a valuable asset to every church and minister’s ministry.’

Using all the Christian Adventure Studies, churches are investing $25 into the life of each person who makes a commitment to Christ. That’s a valuable investment on potentially eternal rewards. First Steps should be given to individuals (along with a Gospel of John or a Bible) who make their commitment to Christ and covers: (1) How to keep one’s life clean before God (2) How to relate to the family of God and (3) How to read and understand God’s word. This study guide can be completed in a group situation if there are sufficient numbers – but it should be commenced at least with their follow-up worker as soon as possible after their commitment to Jesus Christ. President Barack Obama spoke to faith leaders gathered at the White House April 14 for the annual Easter Prayer Breakfast, affirming his Christian faith.

The President’s affirmation of Easter
He began his remarks with ‘This Easter Week we recognise that there’s a lot of pain and a lot of sin and a lot of tragedy in this world, but we’re also overwhelmed by the grace of an awesome God. We’re reminded how he loves us, so deeply, that he gave his only begotten Son so that we might live through him.’

The president affirmed the true meaning of Easter. ‘And in these Holy Days, we recall all that Jesus endured for us – the scorn of the crowds and the pain of the crucifixion, in our Christian religious tradition we celebrate the glory of the Resurrection – all so that we might be forgiven of our sins and granted everlasting life.’

An Irish priest has stunned wedding guests at the end of a ceremony with a pitch-perfect version of Leonard Cohen‘s Hallelujah.

The video of Father Ray Kelly‘s unique version of the often-covered song was filmed at the church service and has been watched on YouTube more than 11 million times since its release on Friday, April 7.
