MANDATE MINISTRIES UPDATE

(October 28, 2024) Ross and Donna, Mandate Ministries, share regarding their Chiang Mai, northern Thailand and Myanmar ministry, and an update regarding Ross’ health…

Floods in Northern Thailand
Northern Thailand has been devastated by the worst floods in living memory. In our city of Chiang Mai the streets have literally turned into canals. Thousands of people’s lives have been affected, including many of our friends’ churches. The floods have also affected our friends and churches in Chiang Rai, as well as our Karen team on the Myanmar border.

Please pray for the waters to abate so clean up can bring people’s lives back to normality.

Many of our brothers and sisters in Christ are being salt and light and bringing practical help and encouragement to those in most need.

Karen State Myanmar
Praise God our team was able to continue providing much needed supplies to the Karenpeople even though the bombing and attacks by ground troops continues. We were very thankful for assistance and protection from the Karen soldiers who love their people.

Because man shall not live by bread alone, our team distributed Bibles, encouraged, and prayed for these precious people.

Zoom World Prayer Meeting for Ross
Ross
has advised ‘It turns out that I can’t participate in the clinical trial for my cancer condition, so my medical treatment options are basically finished. It seems God has pushed aside all the props and declares Himself as the only answer. He has always been our first hope, our last hope and our only hope, but we were willing to take all that medical science had to offer.

Now it’s God alone, and in the light of this Donna recently organised a miracle healing prayer meeting with about 40 prayer warriors attended as well as 60 groups from around the world via Zoom.

‘With all these strong prayers storming heaven, as the song goes, Something has to Break. Please continue to pray with us for the breakthrough, especially as we’ve decided to not waste time but to continue our ministry  (such as the next report).’

Training our Karen Team
Ross recorded atraining video in theThai language for our rapid-response team on the Thai-Myanmar  border about our need to help the Karen people with practical needs, to encourageand pray for them, and also to minister inthe power of the HolySpirit.

So we are believing that as we proclaim the kingdom of God that people will be saved, healed, and delivered. We are also encouraging the Karen who are living in the jungle due to their villages being bombed, to meet in small groups for fellowship and worship. Even if they do not have a pastor or spiritual leader, they can still sing, worship, and read the scriptures.

Please pray for these groups that God will raise up apostles, pastors, evangelists, prophets, and teachers that will impact all of Karen State and beyond. There are many challenges and obstacles but nothing is impossible with God.

Important Editorial Note!
Ross has just emailed: ‘Hi friends. Monday afternoon I went to the emergency department at the PA Hospital due to extreme pain and possible internal bleeding. The stent in my oesophagus had dropped down towards the stomach and they had to reposition it.

‘I’ll be here for a few more days. I’m in constant pain and would really appreciate your prayers. Thanking God for all praying friends for your faithful prayers and support of our ministry to Asia. And for the PA dream team who are looking after me.’
