(November 30, 2024) Dr Robert McQuillan shares …
Hi Robert
I hope you are well. I would appreciate your feedback on this commentary (title followed)— Jonny.
Greetings to not just Jonny but all our readers… I’ll explain the background here. Jonny is a dedicated Christian and very aware that some so-called Bible teachers aren’t true to scripture in what they teach/preach. And, somewhat cautious about a particular one— a comment on a particular Old Testament prophetic scripture— he was enquiring what was my perception of the comment and accompanying prayer.
I was delighted to assure him that there was nothing amiss with that commentary, or the prayer, that both were tops. This was a great encouragement to Jonny as he needed some comforting such as these two items were about!
But… an issue arises here— Christians should know God’s word and heart! There are times when the Holy Spirit warns us that something someone has said or written isn’t kosher! If you’re feeling uneasy about something preached or taught whether on TV or in your church or by a friend, check your Bible and, if you have one, a Bible commentary.
Or feel free to email us with you concern as Jonny did.
