JESUS’ LOVE, GLORY AND GRACE!

(March 06, 2025) Norman and Margaret Moss share another precious meditation…

As most of our friends are aware we send out short videos each week in collaboration with Vessels of Virtues Ministries. These days we are using some pictures in the background and are always grateful for the help friends give in sending us favourite landscapes of their own that we can use.

Seeking an Image
However, just occasionally when desperate I involve the help of AI. Recently I was in search of a picture representing the baptism of our Lord. AI supplied one… but I had to point out that it was immersion not sprinkling, and the water being poured on the head of Jesus had to be removed.

I also pointed out that I’d discovered on close inspection that John the Baptist was not only gracefully robed in garments deemed appropriate by the artist, but was also wearing glasses!

Try as hard as I could, I could not get AI to understand that spectacles were not invented in those days!

The disturbing thought is that it will not be long before AI will cease to be quaint and will begin to outstrip human thought in many ways! Soon when I ask for a picture to illustrate the word ‘glory’ it will provide ‘one.’

But— praise God it will never be able to enter into or understand the glory which is revealed to us as we worship in spirit and in truth!

Margaret and I were meditating on 2Corinthians 3:18, ‘And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate (reflect) the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into His image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.’

Seeking Jesus’ Glory
And we felt the Lord was saying—
‘Do not be afraid for I am with you, and I have not brought you thus far to abandon you. Be sure that my Spirit is within you and that my glory surrounds you. Believe too that it is ever-increasing. For it is as you seek my glory and my presence that you will be transformed into my likeness.

Consider who I am and what I have done, and am still doing for you. Delight in redemption and in the new birth, revel in the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and handle spiritual things as priceless treasure. If a miser counts his gold pieces lovingly, if a collector hangs his pictures so that he may gaze on them, how much more should you be often in the treasure houses of my presence and my word.

‘Come into the walled garden, and walk with me sharing the fragrance and the varied beauties of the plants, and hearing the tumbling waters that flow freely where they will. Hold my hand, and sit with me. Love me, and seek to love me as much as I love you.

‘Knowing that your love could never exceed mine, let the fresh breezes of paradise blow through your mind, heart, and will. Let me cleanse you from all that is stale and unworthy, for those who are truly set apart to seek my glory have a joyous freedom that is life indeed.

‘Let your eyes be fixed on me, for it is as I fill your vision that you will see my glory which is greater than the most wonderful of dawns or sunsets. Be taken up with my glory. Look and look again until the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of my glory and grace. For my glory is full of grace, full of love, full of the greatest of delights that you could ever know.

‘For I want you to live and move in my glory. I want it to fill your mind and pervade every part of you. I want you to be ravished by my love. I want you to know glory, glory, glory, until you are transformed by my glory. This is my gift to you. You are called to be a reflection of my glory and of my great love. And so you may ask me and it shall be given to you.’

Do ravish in Jesus’ love, grace and glory!

  1. Despite the current AI ‘craze’ and arguably some potential for good, I do not believe it will ever replace us! Imperfect as we are, we are God’s special creation.
