In part 1 we highlighted four deceptive words of that great liar the devil and how important it is to know that he’s still around challenging God’s word. And that we trust our unseen God. Below we share six other points.

7. Trusting God’s Comforting
We’ll soon be celebrating Christmas… the birth of our Saviour, not just Santa Claus fun(!): Next is the most important event in the Christian calendar Easter! The death and amazing resurrection of Jesus Christ the Son of God as became our Saviour at Calvary because God loves us (John 3:16-17).

PALM SUNDAY AND THE PRINCE OF PEACE

(March 22, 2024), Alan Higgins shares about Palm Sunday and encourages us to know, honour and follow the Prince of Peace.

Let me begin with a prayer…

‘Father God, as we look afresh in the Bible at the familiar story of Palm Sunday, please speak to us and give us a new insight into what Jesus our Saviour did for us. May we really know that Jesus is the King of Kings… in His name, I pray. Amen.’

Palm Sunday is one of my favourite days of the year.

Declaring Jesus!
When I led St Clement’s Parish Church we used to make it a fun day – we marched around the church with a donkey, me playing guitar and everyone singing – down neighbouring streets – in through the gates – into the church – worship the Lord – and then the clearing up had to begin!

STILL GATHERING AT THE CROSS – OR MOVING ON?

(March 08, 2024) Dr Richard Winter reflects on Calvary’s cross…

At school we were required to understand the atlas, and remember continents, countries, capital cities, major rivers and  mountains. And we learned that before it was understood that the world is a globe, men who drew maps believed it was flat like a saucer and spun round a centre post. Interestingly, their central post was the cross of Calvary.

Now although such cartography belief was faulty, its central point belief was the pivot point of all Christian theology the whole Christian world revolves round the cross of Christ!

In every nation, people of different races, colours, cultures, education, social and economic circumstances still believe Christ’s cross is the centre piece of their theology and eschatology.
