(June 6, 2022) A Mercy Projects report shares an urgent need…

Peter Wooding, who has been ministering to Ukraine with Christian charity Mercy Projects for the past 14 years will be travelling to Budapest in Hungary on Thursday June 10 to help serve at a youth camp for Ukrainian refugees.

Following the camp, he’ll also be part of a team taking vital supplies and bringing encouragement to their partners on the ground throughout Ukraine.

‘My heart is broken for these countless lives that have been forced to flee their homes, which is why I know God is calling me to be there at this crucial team,’ explains Peter, son of ANS Founder Dan Wooding.

‘Since the devastation of the Russian invasion of Ukraine so many young people who’ve fled into Hungary have been devastated by the trauma of leaving their homes and their fathers,’ added Mercy Projects Founder Jeff Thompson.

‘That’s why our team who fled Kyiv themselves and are refugees in Budapest want to serve these young Ukrainians by hosting these Bible camps this summer’ he added. 

‘But funds are urgently needed to make this happen including the travel costs for our UK Director Peter Wooding to join this vital mission trip. Not just to our camp but to bring back stories of our remarkable partners serving vulnerable families in the Chernobyl region.’
