Peace-loving representatives of two nations who have recently been at war with each other have teamed up in a remarkable way that bodes for future reconciliation.
Marziyeh Amarizadeh, an Iranian evangelist now based in America, has joined Orthodox Jew Jonathan Feldstein in a bid to bless Israel both economically and spiritually in the wake of the October 7, 2023, massacre that sparked the Gaza War.
The indigenous people had long been suspicious of Pastor Kabir*, who came to their South Asian village on a regular basis to preach, pray, and fellowship with the handful of believers who lived there.
Most of the villagers were not only devout Hindus, but they were also superstitious. A Christian pastor was never a welcome sight.
In the village lived a young girl named Aama*. When she was five years old, her eyesight began to fade and soon, she was partially blind. Her parents not only sought treatment from hospitals, but they also took her to witch doctors and mediums. No one could help. Soon, Aama was unable to attend school and her education suffered.
The Bible Society, which operates around the globe, reports that more than 2,000 Iranians are turning to Jesus every single day! One 92-year-old believer, whenever she’s on a bus, pulls out a small book and asks her neighbour to help her read the tiny font.
In fact, she is secretly getting strangers to read the gospels. Every time she does it, the person sitting next to her ends up taking a New Testament home.
Christian Revival Focus This is brave work in a land where leaving Islam is potentially punishable by death. But the Iranian revival is good news for Israel— and the Jews! For these dear people have been taught by their government and mullahs that Israel is their archenemy.
Springtime in the Sierra, Mexico is full of life with baby lambs, baby foals, baby chicks and newborn babies in the Náhuatl homes.
We have known Carlos since he was a boy but now he is a young Náhuatl man. He began dating Cristina, a young woman who did not know the Lord. We saw his joy fading and his church attendance become sporadic. One Sunday he stood up to tell us that he was ashamed and convicted that he had caused this young woman to become pregnant. He confessed his sin and asked for forgiveness.
How precious to see each person stand up to talk to him in Náhuatl assuring him of his or her friendship and belief in God working through this situation for him. He was visibly moved with tears in his eyes.
Transformed From Observer to Believer Carlos and Cristina were married very quietly with little fanfare. In a small room where they were to live, they celebrated their union with a sign with their names on it and balloons. They shared some chicken in broth, home-made tortillas and a small cake.
Cristina, who was not a believer, began coming with Carlos to church. We watched her transform from an observer to a believer. How beautiful to see her eagerly read the word, pray, and truly believe. How dear to see Carlos with his arm around her introducing her as ‘my wife.’ We have seen them grow in their faith and sweet love for each other ever since.
In short order a baby would be coming— a little girl. On Cristina’s birthday we were each asked to give a little devotion for the soon to be born child. To our surprise her formerly hostile, distant family came and listened. They were nodding, smiling and delighted with the word of God that we shared.
What a turn-around! We have often thought of the beautiful scripture ‘A little child shall lead them (Isaiah 11:6) in reference to the influence of children on the faith of adults. This child was already affecting the whole family for good.
Cristina was overwhelmed with emotion. Our hearts sang to see her security in the love of Carlos and the Lord. She recognises that God has blessed her with a man of faith and faithfulness in Christ. Many women in the Sierra cannot say that this is their situation.
Listening Respectively to God’s Word Only a 15 minute walk from Cristina and Carlos, we visited a profoundly deaf young woman who had her first baby— also a little girl.
This tiny infant was on oxygen from the start. She could not be nursed so they would spoon feed her some formula. They kept her alive for two months with rented cylinders of oxygen used day and night, hoping against hope, until she died.
The heartache was palpable for the young couple and the grandparents.
They do not know the Lord but through hand-signs and visits, they know we care. They too listen respectively to God’s word as we use signs to communicate. May it bear fruit as God has promised.
Younger Generation Seeking Godly Counsel The younger generation seeks counsel and hope from us. It is a great responsibility and an amazing one to be accepted by another culture in these matters. These relationships take time— lots of time— to nurture. Now when we look at the whole group of young children in this new village, it’s as if we can already see them in a blink of an eye becoming teens and then adults with children of their own.
We feel the clock ticking for them to be exposed to God’s word, to hear about Jesus’ love and sacrifice for them and to know He is real for them this very day. By God’s grace and the Holy Spirit’s leading, their lives are marked by Him. We are conscious of this in every interaction.
Please pray that we would reach these young lives around us and encourage those who already are in young adulthood to listen and heed the words of the Lord.
The need is so great. We are thankful for you and your prayers and your support of us here.

Nadalla Alrajo grew up in a strict Muslim family; his father is a sheik. As a three-year-old, he went to the mosque to learn about his religion. At age six, he asked if Jesus was God because he heard about his resurrection and ascension to heaven. (The Koran affirms Jesus’s resurrection but holds Him to be only a prophet, not the Son of God).

It took nine years for Muslim Abdu Murray to realise that God’s greatest ethic, love, was demonstrated by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for sin.
Along his journey out of Islam and during his study of the Bible, Murray nearly surrendered to Jesus two times when the Holy Spirit and the word of God deeply stirred him.
Studying comparative religions at a secular university in a liberal city, Murray was an evangelist for Islam when two Christians gave him a Gideon’s Bible. The words of John the Baptist in Luke 3:7-8 cut Murray like a spiritual knife!

Kap Chatfield was selling his Give Tankstank tops on Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras when he ran across the Baptist lady who ruined his good vibes.
‘It was an avalanche of debauchery: drunk people, people doing drugs, people throwing up on the sidewalk,’ Kap says on his YouTube channel. ‘All of a sudden I see the giant wooden cross in the middle of the road. It was a glaring juxtaposition. These fire-breathing Baptists were the biggest buzzkill.’
He approached one of the Christian ladies. ‘Who do you think you are?’ he challenged her. ‘Are you saying I’m not a good person? I’m running this (T-shirt) company and we’re giving money to kids in Nicaragua.’
‘You’re not doing that for God’s glory,’ the lady responded. ‘You’re doing that for your own glory.’

As David Hathaway stood in front of 1,400 inmates of a Siberian prison in subzero weather 30 years ago, the prison chief scoffed: ‘What can your God do to these men? I’m the only one that can deal with them. I beat them. I shoot them. How can your God change these men?’
God Changes Lives! After worship, it was David’s turn to address to 200 mass murderers, 400 sex offenders, 800 criminals. ‘I spent a year in a prison like this,’ he said. ‘I know exactly what conditions are like. I know how they starve you, how they beat you. I know something you don’t: I know how to get out of a prison.’

The monster at the top of the stairs started Andrew Goodwin’s slide into schizophrenia, when he lost all hope in the future until Jesus set him free.
‘It was a green figure about four feet tall with yellow eyes with this really evil sadistic look,’ Andrew describes on The Ex-Schizophrenic Perspective YouTube channel. The four-year-old ran to his mum. When she came, there was no longer any monster. She looked through every drawer and closet to reassure her son and then put him to bed.
Psychological torture Andrew, of Retford, England, didn’t see any more monsters. But an inexplicable evil presence remained. It remained with him until he was 20 years old.
Then as a pre-teen, he was sexually abused by a slightly older video-gaming friend. ‘I could hear audible laughing voices cackling at me,’ he said. ‘It was almost like the devil had spoken into my life: “You can’t trust your family. They can’t look after you. They can’t protect you.”’

On Sunday, April 14, 1912, the unsinkable ocean liner Titanic sank to the bottom of the ocean after hitting an iceberg. About 700 people survived, but some1,500 people perished in the frigid north Atlantic because an insufficient number of lifeboats were placed on the ship.
One of the passengers, John Harper, served as pastor of Walworth Road Baptist Church in London, England. He was a 39-year-old widower with Nan a six-year-old daughter. Harper was en route to Chicago, where he was slated to preach for several weeks at the Moody Church, according to an account in AoG News.
Self-sacrificing His daughter and niece accompanied him on the trans-Atlantic voyage. After the Titanic hit the iceberg, his daughter and niece boarded a lifeboat and survived.
Harper, however, refused to save himself and instead helped others to the crowded lifeboats. According to survivors, Harper preached the gospel until his dying breath, first on the sinking ship and then in the frigid waters.
The October 1928 issue of The Latter Rain Evangel (published by The Stone Church, a historic Assemblies of God congregation in Chicago), recounted the following story of John Harper’s last convert.
