Philippians 4:6

TRUST, FAITH AND HOPE—  THREEFOLD KEY TO ‘KEEP ON KEEPING ON!’

(August 30, 2025) Robert and Maureen McQuillan share sincerely…

We know, we know… we’ve written before about trusting God when troubles hit, particularly sickness— for example COMPASSIONATE GOD AND DIVINE HEALING | Connecting with You!

But… due to some recent personal incidents, and learning that other seniors are unwell, some even wanting to back away from ministry, we want to encourage everyone to— and here we use a simple phrase that we find we’re giving to various individuals these dark days— Keep On Keeping On!

Great Provision
Just as God is the great provider, forgiver of repentant sinners and blesser of His followers, He is the divine physician! For decades we’ve known all these gracious acts of God in our own lives, and today we especially recall healing recoveries. And in the lives of others that we’ve prayed for… healing/relieving answers happening sometimes promptly, sometimes later, but all in His timing. And one hears or reads the testimonies of famous ministries over the decades who knew this great truth and applied it by praying for the sick, witnessing healings, even miracles.

PRAY WITH CONFIDENCE!

(January  23, 2025) Dr Richard Winter encouragingly hits home…

If I told you that you were going to have the opportunity to talk with Jesus for fifteen minutes today and could make one request of Him, what would be your request? If you could ask Him anything, would you ask for protection, a new job, money… or just what would you ask?

The disciples got this opportunity one time. Luke 11:1 tells of them caming to Jesus with a specific request— ‘Lord, teach us to pray.’

Desire
Why, of all the things they could have asked of Jesus, did they ask that?

AN UNANSWERED PRAYER ISN’T THE LAST WORD

(February 01, 2024) Carol Round encourages…

‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God’ encouraged Paul in Philippians 4:6.

As I’ve grown spiritually, I find myself praying more often. Throughout my day, when someone or something comes to mind, I lift them in prayer. However, before I leave the house, I start the morning with prayer and my favourite hot drink – Earl Grey tea.

I’ve created a special place to meet with my Abba Father each morning. In the corner of my spare bedroom are several devotionals, a notebook for jotting down my thoughts and prayers, pens, pencils, highlighters, and – most importantly – my Bible. I have 11 Bibles, but my favourite is The Prayer Bible.

WORRYING? HAVE CONFIDENCE IN GOD!

(December 13, 2022) Robert and Maureen McQuillan share…

Unfortunately, some Christians worry instead of trusting Almighty God!

Yes, we should certainly be concerned about troubling matters that arise from time to time… but there is a huge difference between being concerned (taking responsibility to correct matters) and worrying!

Paul gave good advice in Philippians 4:6 – ‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.’

Seven don’ts…

1. Don’t worry –
Message Bible is very direct: ‘Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.’ Complete Jewish Bible charges: ‘Don’t worry about anything.’

It’s almost Christmas when we celebrate the amazing coming to planet Earth of Jesus in physical form the incarnational birth of the one who would become our Saviour.
