PEACE WE CRAVE IS FOUND IN THE WISDOM OF PROVERBS

(October 10, 2025) Mama Lava shares from her heart regarding Proverbs…

Finally! Saturday arrived and I sat at Starbucks with a drink I’d been craving. I settled in and opened the Bible app on my phone. It was October 1, and I headed to Proverbs 1.

It has been a long-time habit to read a Proverb a day. Proverbs has 31 chapters, which makes it the perfect length. And because it is a book of incredible wisdom, I can’t imagine ever reading it enough times to master or tire of it.

Finding Perspective
I typically read from my NIV Bible… but my Bible app opened in the NLT, which is very similar, but just different enough to intrigue me. The familiar verses pulled me in with slightly different wording and made me think about them with fresh perspective.

PEACE IS FOUND IN JESUS ALONE

(June 12, 2025) Carol Round shares comforting truths for troubled souls…

While cleaning my house recently, I listened to a talk show interview with a woman in her late 40s, maybe early 50s. The news was up next, and I didn’t want to miss the weather forecast.

What grabbed my attention was a statement made by the woman being interviewed. I put down my dust rag so I could focus on the interview.

I don’t recall her name or the name of the show, but her statement made me think. She said, ‘I don’t want to age gracefully. My idea of aging is growing peacefully.’

Aging gracefully, according to various websites, means embracing the natural process of aging while maintaining physical and mental well-being. This means adopting healthy eating habits, engaging in regular exercise, and forming positive social connections.

GIFT OF THE PRINCE OF PEACE!

(December 08, 2023) Angeline Selvakumari shares good points…

Ever since I was a child, Christmas has always held a special place in my heart. It brings indescribable joy. When I was young, we didn’t have enough money to buy new clothes or gifts, or to decorate the house with fancy colored paper or lights. We lived in a small one-bedroom house with limited food, but… my parents always found ways to make our childhood beautiful and meaningful.

My brother and I are forever grateful for their efforts. It was an amazing time! Visiting grandparents, meeting cousins, going to church early in the morning with sleepy eyes, eagerly waiting to eat a delicious lunch with the whole family gathered around, playing games, and even the occasional sibling squabble – all these things made those days truly beautiful.

Even now, every year, the scent of candles, aroma of cookies, twinkling decorative lights, and the chilly wind, along with heartwarming carols, bring back great memories.
