THE TWO COMMANDMENTS OF THE NEW COVENANT

Mike ShreveMike Shreve shares good advice…

The ten commandments of the old covenant are a primary part of our spiritual foundation. Bible believers often display them in an effort to influence others toward righteousness. God himself proclaimed them from Mount Sinai in a fiery display, and engraved them on tablets of stone.

However, they are part of ‘the Law’: a system of religious, moral and lifestyle demands Paul later labelled ‘the ministry of condemnation’ and ‘the ministry of death’ (2 Cor. 3:7-9). (more…)

CHRISTMAS – THE PERFECT RESCUE MISSION

Ed DelphEd Delph shares a seasonal thought-provoker…

Christmas is the greatest most perfectly complete rescue mission of all time in any time!

This week I met a pastor from Glendale, Arizona who really believes this. Stuart Smith started a church three years ago called Higher Praise that has grown considerably.

THE CHURCH – NOT A BUILDING, BUT A BODY OF BELIEVERS!

Mike ShreveMike Shreve, evangelist, pastor and author, reminds believers of the reality of the church of Jesus Christ…

Missionary statesman Dr George Forbes shares some mission gems:

Much has been said and written about mission teams over the last few years. Twenty five years ago they were a new phenomenon arousing both positive and negative responses on the mission fields of the world.

Literally hundreds of teams and thousands of young people and older team members were suddenly appearing on the horizon of missions’ activity. (more…)

GOLDMINE! THE MESSAGE OF EASTER

George Forbes 2010Missionary statesman Dr George Forbes reminds us that the real message of Easter is a precious goldmine:

Easter is an annual holiday celebrated by many millions around the world. For devout followers of Christ it is a highlight of the year; a time to give thanks to God for his great gift. For many others it may be the one-day they attend a church, because it seems the right thing to do. They hope it might help when the day of accounting comes.
