FROM FAMILY MIRACLE TO FAITHFUL MINISTRY

(September 23, 2022) K.C. Dipak from Nepal shares about his journey in Christ.

Although I was born into a Hindu family in Nepal, my mother used to go to church every Sunday. But my sister Shanti and I never accompanied her. There came a time when my father left us alone and went to India without telling his whereabouts. Sadly, he has never returned to us.

Mother had to work so hard as a domestic to fed us all… they were difficult times. One day, during my early teens, Shanti got very sick, and although Mother took her to many doctors and government hospitals, she did not respond to treatments.

Miracle
Extremely concerned, Mother decided to invite her pastor to pray for Shanti. Instead of just praying in the church, he came to our home and prayed over my sister and within two weeks, she fully recovered, praise God! This was a great miracle for my family and in May 2013 my sister and I started going to church regularly.

‘MAN IN WHITE’ APPEARS TO MUSLIMS, BRINGING SALVATION

(May 14, 2022) Mark Ellis shares another good news incident…

During Ramadan, CBN News detailed some notable stories from the last few years about how Jesus has been revealing Himself to Muslims in dreams and visions.

In one story, a Middle Eastern missionary named Yazid (*name changed) shared about a man visited by Jesus every night for a month, asking him to write down what He said.

McLean Bible Church’s Pastor David Platt interviewed the missionary during The Gospel Coalition’s Something Needs to Change simulcast’ and Yazid had stated that ‘God is moving inside the Middle East with dreams, visions, and personal visitations.’

‘MAN IN WHITE’ APPEARED IN VISION, BRINGING HEALING TO A MUSLIM

(May 15, 2017) GodReports’ Mark Ellis reports a great testimony

Nabil* and his family were refugees and had recently settled in a small apartment that happened to be near a Christian named Greg. Nabil found work at the lowest rung of the income ladder, as a manual labourer.

One day Nabil suffered a severe ankle injury that kept him off the job. Greg began visiting Nabil’s apartment regularly to help him rehabilitate, according to a report by Frontiers.

After months of therapy and rest, Nabil’s ankle was still so swollen that he could only take a few tentative steps across the apartment. It seemed it would take several more months before he would be pain-free and able to return to his demanding physical work.

But one day Greg called Nabil and was surprised by an urgency in Nabil’s voice. ‘Greg, I need to see you immediately! Come over now and bring your Bible.’ (more…)

MORGUE RESURRECTION LEADS TO OTHER MUSLIMS FINDING JESUS

(October 14) Steve Rees shares a good news story (Note: Not real names mentioned hereunder) …

After laying naked and cold in a morgue for two days, Sabina (not real name) saw herself hopelessly stuck at the bottom of a deep well.

Surrounded by corpses covered with linen sheets, Sabina had a vision of a tree growing at the top of the well. From its trunk, a branch moved toward her as she lay on a hospital gurney. Close enough to reach, the branch changed into flesh as Sabina heard the words, ‘If you grab onto my hand, I will bring you back to life.’

Taking hold of it with her cold, lifeless hand, Sabina woke to find her body covered from the neck down with a white sheet like other corpses around her. (more…)

‘I AM – WITH YOU’ ASSURED THE MYSTERIOUS VOICE!

(May 3, 2015) Maureen McQuillan recalls a memorable believers’ water baptism service:

Ali, a converted Muslim from Iran, had expressed his desire to follow his Saviour Jesus through the waters of baptism.

A humble and most sincere man who loves Jesus and doesn’t hesitate to share his faith in Christ, he had his wish fulfilled in a heart-touching baptism service at last month at the Highton campus of Moolap and Barrabool Hills Baptist Church, Geelong, Victoria, last March.

The service meaningfully centred on Ali’s baptism and quite a few of his converted Muslim friends from Melbourne and Hoppers Crossing attended to celebrate the occasion. Moein, a delightful young Iranian friend I know, was among the visitors and kindly supplied photos for this article.

Barrabool Baptist’s teaching pastor Matt Jacoby conducted the baptismal segment along with Reza – who only likes to known as ‘a servant of Jesus.’ Matt Jacoby highlighted the meaning of adult believers’ water baptism and Reza interpreted for Ali as he shared his testimony in Farsi. (more…)

با سلام! – A WARM FARSI ‘HELLO!’ (May 3, 2016)

Something else we observed about that Anglican church recently visited (https://connectingwithyou.net/2016/04/25/reflections/) is a greeting in their website – ‘با سلام!’ Pronounced ‘Salam’ this is a warm ‘Hello’ welcome to Iranian Farsi-speaking visitors and enquirers.

Iran is the world’s fastest growing evangelical population… many Muslims are discovering Jesus, often as the white-robed stranger appearing supernaturally and working miracles. (See April’s Features – https://connectingwithyou.net/category/features/).

Good news indeed – but churches need to realise there is a vast mission field here on our own doorstep! (more…)

Author, missionary, broadcaster, and a woman of deep faith, Elisabeth Elliot (b. 1926 in Belgium) received her reward on June 15, 2015.

Mrs Elliot was the daughter of missionaries to Belgium, having five other siblings. Her family moved to United States while she was young, growing up in Pennsylvania and later New Jersey. She graduated from Wheaton College where she studied Classical Greek and met her first husband, Jim Elliot. (more…)

THE VOICE

Missionary statesman Dr George Forbes tells that a phenomenon of recent years has been the multiplied reports of the ‘voice in the night’ speaking to Muslims.

In contrast to stories of apparitions and spirits these reports have been very specific, constant and detailed. There have been literally thousands of reported dreams and visions of devout Muslims, including many Imams, Mullahs and Sheiks who have seen ‘Isa’ and heard him speak to them. (more…)
